Sunday School Report – Petty cash needed as an incentive for the kids to invite friends. Would like to do a play or something with the kids for Christmas.

Sunshine Report – Thank you sent to Matt Toutant and get well to Cecelia Gracey & Tracie. Thank you to Asbury Methodist Church.

New Business – Sunday School & Bible study at 9:30 – 10:20, Church @ 10:30 effective the 3rd Sunday in November.

Jackie made a motion that we accept Pastor Mark & Nancy as members of Calcium Community Church, Francis 2nd the motion.

Betty made a motion to buy a snow blower and Francis 2nd. Jackie is to price it.

Pastor’s Report – Pastor needs a vote to get health insurance through other avenues than MMBB. He’s checking into Healthy New York.

Betty made a motion for the Pastor to check into another health care policy and Francis 2nd, everyone agreed.

Pastor Mark suggested all financials should be published with the public, and would like some information on line, along with meeting minutes.

Pastor also suggested a newsletter.

Check into an accounting system, envelopes for tithing and give people information for taxes.

Pastor also would like to do a Wednesday night prayer service.

Sharing testimony from the deacons once a month then possibly have someone else give testimonies.

Order of Sunday service is Deacon of the month & Light the Soldier’s candle with a prayer. 2-3 songs back to back, then offertory, doxology, closing song, then Benediction.

Deacon for the month of November will be Walt.

Church received $1,485.11 from Asbury Methodist Church for a can collection.

Mike brought up that we need better communication, such as with the building of the church, and any other events/donations that are going on.

New Business – Jackie brought up a fund raiser for Bricks for sale for outside as a future project.

A church in Watertown has a can collection – collecting money for different uses. Betty said they are giving the money to us.

Mark and Nancy will be here the 1st week of October.

Pastor’s Report – Tracie is still in Syracuse doing better. Mission statement needs to be done. Pastor said we need a new Updated directory.

Watertown Daily Times wants to do another article on the church.

Getting rid of the pews and putting in chairs should be given some thought as soon as possible.

Parsonage bathroom – Pastor will ask Paul to see if we can get the bathroom done.

John Smithers has offered to sell the house to the church.

Pastor asked if we wanted the basket to raffle off and no one wanted to take on the added responsibility.

Pastor also mentioned a Mission Conference in October.

Trustee’s Report – Linda & Gervin Wallpapered and painted, Jackie cleaned windows, Mike mowed the lawn, & Francis replaced a light bulb. Gervin requested not using thumb tacks anymore.

New Business – Betty suggested that we continue cleaning and painting in parsonage

Walt suggested we give an advancement of $500 for work on the parsonage. Jackie suggested using cupboards from the basement, which, Gervin is going to look into, to see if they are useable.

Pastor Foody said we need to tell the insurance company know that we are going to keep the Parsonage.

Betty made a motion to remove the pews to make the sanctuary a multi purpose sanctuary, and consider getting the chairs. Pastor said the pews could be sold on e-bay or to antique dealers. We decided to table this until next month.

Search Committee – Aug. 16 – Mark White & wife Nancy will stay at Days Inn for 4 nights and will preach Sunday Aug. 19, they will be leaving on Monday

Pastor Foody’s report – Contacted by the Insurance Company and they agree with contractor on the final construction cost. They will not cover a few things. Paul is meeting with us at 11:30 on Sunday to work on the contract for the contractor.

Pastor Foody is going to contact Don Benoit for getting volunteers to paint sanctuary.

Paul hopes to start working on Monday.

Pastor will be gone Aug. 7-9 for Dr. appt. Surgery is scheduled on the 15th

The insurance Company is working on trying to get us an extra $10,000 for us if we can proved to them that we had a loss of income since the collapse.
